If You Buy Smocked Clothing for Children on eBay:
There are many "work at home Moms" selling on eBay today. I like to buy from them if they have a proven record of good service. It is easy to tell which sellers have satisfied customers. Just look at the feedback comments. Also you can see how a seller is rated on 4 areas: Accuracy of Description, Communication, Shipping Cost, and Shipping Time. If you buy smocked clothing through eBay, just make certain that the seller has good star ratings and good feedback, preferably 99% or higher.
Growing up in the South in the '60s and '70s...
...dressing up for church was very important. It was an accepted tradition by everyone that I knew that Easter was an event that required a "NEW" Easter dress.
My mother often made me and my sisters beautiful dresses with fluffy petticoats when we were very young. We wore patent leather shoes and usually carried a tiny purse that was delightful to possess at that young age. We even had little pairs of white gloves. What fun it was to put them on and take them off.
As we grew up, store bought dresses were the norm, but we always had a new Easter dress to wear to church on Easter morning. We were often in the store during the week before Easter fighting the crowds of shoppers that waited until the last minute, too.

By and large it is not the same today. You can get by without a NEW Easter dress. But for those families who are regularly attend church, I still believe that the traditional NEW Easter dress is a very good tradition to continue. It involves the children in meaning of Easter and the resurrection. The new clothes are symbolic of being clothed in the righteousness of Christ.

The lovely smocked penguin dress shown above is designed by Amanda Remembered.
This site My Smocked Dress...
...celebrates the traditional smocked children's clothing. Most of the name brand smocked clothing is made of natural comfortable fabrics adorned with beautiful designs that children and adults love.
The neat thing is that the smocked designs embody the seasons so well with smocked Easter Bunnies on Easter dresses and smocked candy canes on Christmas longalls. Little girls that love ballerinas are bound to find a dress smocked with ballerinas. You can find birthday cakes smocked on birthday dresses, football players smocked on fall clothing for little boys. I love the scarecrows and pumpkins smocked on fall children's clothing. Some of my favorite boutique brands that are featured on My Smocked Dress are Rosalina, Zuccini, Remember Nguyen, Castles and Crowns, Silly Goose, Strasburg, Bailey Boys, Amanda Remembered, Orient Expressed, Anavini, Vive La Fete, Three Momma, Petit Ami, and more!
